Herstory

Annmarie Gianni is a certified massage therapist trained in Yakov Gershkovich’s Sculptural Face Lifting and Buccal Massage methods, with an academic background in Sports Medicine, Massage Therapy, and Herbalism. Her approach blends technical expertise with an intuitive, restorative touch, making every session both a treatment and a transformative experience.

Known by her Italian heritage as “una donna che aiutana”—a woman who helps—Annmarie carries forward the lineage of traditional helpers who served their communities physically, spiritually, and energetically. Guided by the land, she’s been reminded time and again by the botanicals she tends that her hands can communicate more than words ever could. Returning to this truth has brought her home to her roots.

Her path has been anything but ordinary. She has hiked and camped with shamanic healers in the high Andes on Ausangate Mountain, sat with medicine women and her ancestors in southern Italy’s Campania region, and spent two and a half years living in an RV with her husband, traveling across the U.S. and South America. Along the way, she absorbed healing traditions, shared her own knowledge, and deepened her connection to the natural rhythms that continue to inspire her work.

In addition to her academic foundations, Annmarie has spent decades immersed in natural skincare, plant medicine, and botanical farming. She co-founded Annmarie Skin Care in 2009—a brand born from a single question and grown into a global expression of pure, clean beauty. In 2020, she and her family founded Moss Creek Farm, where they grow herbs to craft a once-a-year Estate Blend—rooting her skincare and healing practices even deeper in the cycles of nature.

Before her path turned toward natural beauty and holistic healing, Annmarie began her career in Sports Medicine, working in a busy physical therapy clinic training high school and collegiate athletes through injury recovery and performance rehabilitation. Shortly after, she and her husband, Kevin, began a personal training and massage practice that evolved into Renegade Health, an online platform dedicated to fitness, nutrition, and natural living. These experiences shaped her deep understanding of anatomy, movement, and the body’s innate ability to heal when given the right support.

Beyond her professional work, Annmarie has volunteered her time as an activist for skin care, food, and pharmaceutical transparency, helping to raise awareness about the importance of ingredient integrity and honest labeling in the wellness industry.

A mother of two, Annmarie embraced homeschooling during the pandemic years, balancing family life with farming, formulating, and the slow art of healing. That time reminded her of what truly matters: family, community, and giving back. It deepened her devotion not only to her children’s growth, but also to nurturing her local community through care and connection.

At The Lifted Face, Annmarie brings together these diverse threads—academic training, spiritual apprenticeship, botanical wisdom, and hands-on craft—into a practice that honors both the body’s structure and the soul’s longing for release. Her work is guided by the belief that every human can fall deeply in love with there body’s natural form—that fillers and harsh chemicals are unnecessary when beauty is rooted in truth, care, and connection.
